Job Purpose
The Deputy Human Resources Manager leads the national HR function and ensures the timely, compliant, and effective delivery of HR services across Medair Sudan operations.
Reporting directly to the Programme Support Manager, the role provides managerial oversight to HR operations while ensuring compliance with Sudanese labour laws, donor regulations, internal HR systems, payroll procedures, recruitment frameworks, staff care, and organizational policies.

Key Job Responsibilities (JD)
1. HR Leadership & Team Management
The selected candidate will:
- Lead day-to-day HR operations for nationally recruited staff.
- Supervise HR Officers and HR Assistants, ensuring effective task allocation and coaching.
- Strengthen HR systems, workflows, internal controls, and documentation standards.
- Ensure all HR procedures comply with Medair policies and Sudan labour laws.
- Act as Officer-in-Charge for HR when delegated.
2. HR Administration & Compliance
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining confidential and compliant personnel filing systems (digital and physical).
- Ensuring staff employment contracts are updated and legally compliant.
- Coordinating contract renewals, promotions, amendments, and probation tracking.
- Supporting HR data cleansing and documentation retention.
- Managing HR Information Systems (HRIS) and generating HR reports.
3. Recruitment & Workforce Planning
The Deputy HR Manager will:

Education Requirements

Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management
Preferred Qualification
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in:

Experience Requirements
