Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Digital Cartographer to join our team in Khartoum, Sudan. As a Digital Cartographer, you will play a critical role in creating and maintaining accurate and up-to-date spatial data for various industries, including government, natural resources, and infrastructure. You will work closely with our team of GIS professionals to design, develop, and implement cartographic products and services that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop cartographic products, including maps, atlases, and other spatial data visualizations
  • Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date spatial data for various industries
  • Collaborate with GIS professionals to develop and implement cartographic products and services
  • Work with customers to understand their spatial data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in GIS and cartography

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of cartography, GIS, and spatial analysis
  • Proficiency in GIS software, such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or GRASS
  • Experience with data visualization and mapping tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geography, or related field

Experience

2-5 years of experience in cartography, GIS, or a related field
