Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geophysics Research Scientist to join our team in Abu Hamad, Sudan. As a Geophysics Research Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting research and development of new geophysical technologies and methods to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our oil and gas exploration and production operations.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in geophysics and a proven track record of conducting research and development projects. You will be responsible for collaborating with our global team of scientists and engineers to develop and implement new technologies and methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and development of new geophysical technologies and methods
- Collaborate with our global team of scientists and engineers to develop and implement new technologies and methods
- Design and implement experiments to test new technologies and methods
- Analyze data and results to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance
- Develop and maintain relationships with our customers and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met
Required Skills
- Ph.D. in Geophysics or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in geophysics research and development
- Strong background in geophysics and seismic data analysis
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education
Ph.D. in Geophysics or related field from a recognized university
Experience
8-12 years of experience in geophysics research and development, preferably in the oil and gas industry
Salary
60,000 – 90,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
