Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive mine plans that maximize ore recovery while minimizing environmental impact.
- Supervise on-site engineering teams to ensure all extraction activities meet technical specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct detailed feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new mining sites and expansion projects.
- Optimize heavy machinery utilization and maintenance schedules to reduce operational downtime.
- Collaborate with geological and environmental teams to ensure sustainable resource management.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in mining software such as Surpac, Micromine, or Deswik.
- Expertise in open-pit and underground mine design and stability analysis.
- Strong project management capabilities with experience in multi-million dollar budgets.
- In-depth knowledge of international mining safety regulations and environmental compliance.
Education
A Master of Science in Mining Engineering or a related Geotechnical Engineering discipline is mandatory. Professional accreditation from a recognized engineering board is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in large-scale open-pit mining operations. Proven experience in a senior supervisory role within a multinational mining corporation is essential for this position.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 850,000 SSP to 1,200,000 SSP, depending on technical expertise and performance metrics.
