Hasina Adam Nooh Omer
About Candidate
I am applying for the Safety & Security Focal Person position with genuine enthusiasm and commitment to grow into this critical role for DRC’s operations across Sudan.
While my Bachelor’s degree is in Education rather than Security Management, my professional trajectory demonstrates rapid advancement in humanitarian operations with strong security orientation. Since joining MSF Holland in February 2026, I have developed hands-on expertise in field-based environments and gained practical understanding of the security challenges facing humanitarian teams in Port Sudan.
My professional strengths directly align with your needs:
• Bilingual fluency (Arabic/English) — native speaker enabling clear communication with staff, communities, and local authorities across all regions
• Sudan operational context — currently based in Port Sudan; intimate knowledge of Khartoum and regional security dynamics essential for this role
• Security-focused credentials — DisasterReady Personal Safety and Security in Emergency Settings certification providing frameworks for threat assessment and emergency response
• Institutional protocol management — 4 years of supervisory experience maintaining safety protocols, coordinating across teams, and managing organizational standards
• NGO/humanitarian sector experience — hands-on work with MSF (field logistics) and Ayadi Al-Khair (community liaison and aid coordination), demonstrating understanding of humanitarian access and operations
Addressing the experience gap: I bring 2 years of humanitarian experience rather than the preferred 3–6 years. However, my rapid professional growth, demonstrated ability to master complex operational environments, and security-specific certifications position me to quickly assume core security focal point responsibilities. I am committed to pursuing advanced security management training and am eager to contribute to DRC’s safety mandate across Sudan from day one.
I am proficient in Microsoft Office applications and bring strong analytical and report-writing capability essential for security incident documentation and risk assessment.
