Job Overview

The Mineral Processing Supervisor will lead the day‑to‑day activities of the processing plant, ensuring optimal performance, product quality and compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Reporting to the Mine Operations Manager, the supervisor will coordinate with engineering, maintenance and quality teams to drive continuous improvement and achieve production targets. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the mineral processing plant, including crushing, grinding, flotation and concentration processes.
  • Monitor plant performance metrics, analyze data and implement corrective actions to meet production and quality goals.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environmental standards, conducting regular audits and risk assessments.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of operators, technicians and engineers, providing coaching, performance feedback and development opportunities.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Collaborate with the Metallurgical Engineering team to optimize process flows, reagent usage and energy consumption.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including shift logs, incident reports and compliance records.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of mineral processing techniques and equipment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and process control software.
  • Excellent leadership and team‑building abilities.
  • Effective communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight production schedules.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in process safety, lean manufacturing or project management are considered a plus.

Experience

Applicants must have at least five years of hands‑on experience in mineral processing operations, preferably within a large‑scale mining environment. Prior supervisory or lead roles are essential, demonstrating a track record of improving plant efficiency and safety performance.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 120,000 to SSP 180,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, pension contributions and relocation assistance where applicable.
