Job Overview

The HSE Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all Shell Sudan operations in the Shendi region adhere to stringent health, safety, and environmental regulations. Reporting to the HSE Manager, the officer will develop, implement, and monitor safety programs, conduct risk assessments, and lead incident investigations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and standards aligned with Shell global guidelines.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation.
• Deliver HSE training sessions and safety briefings to field and office personnel.
• Monitor compliance with local Sudanese regulations and international best practices.

Education

Experience

Applicants must have 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in health, safety, and environmental roles within the oil and gas industry. Experience in upstream exploration and production environments, as well as a proven track record of reducing incident rates, will be considered a strong advantage.

Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from SSP 120,000 to SSP 180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be offered.
