Role Overview
The Industrial Automation & Engineering Systems Engineer will support the design, implementation, and optimization of automation and control systems across Haggar Group’s industrial and infrastructure operations. This role is ideal for engineers with experience in PLC/DCS systems, industrial process control, and automation technologies. You’ll work closely with multi‑disciplinary teams to enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and safety across manufacturing, energy, or agri‑industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Automation System Development & Maintenance
Design, configure, and program PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems for industrial operations.
Perform system updates, backups, and calibration of control devices and instrumentation.
• Process Optimization & Technical Support
Analyze control loop performance and implement improvements to increase uptime and throughput.
Provide technical troubleshooting support for automation systems and related equipment.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work with maintenance, operations, and project teams to integrate automation solutions with existing infrastructure.
Assist in deployment and commissioning of new automation hardware or software.
• Documentation & Compliance
Prepare technical documentation, control logic diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Ensure systems comply with engineering safety standards and best practices.
• Continuous Improvement Initiatives
Participate in process improvement projects to reduce waste, energy use, and production variability.
Qualifications & Experience
• Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Automation, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
• Experience:
3–5 years of hands‑on experience with industrial automation systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS).
Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills:
PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, Schneider).
SCADA/HMI configuration and industrial network protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
Ability to interpret electrical and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID, wiring).
Familiarity with control system safety and regulatory compliance.
