Key Responsibilities

The Deputy Field Coordinator for Programs will be responsible for:

  • Leading and supervising the implementation of humanitarian programs across West and Central Darfur.
  • Managing and mentoring Program Managers, ensuring timely delivery of project activities.
  • Supporting the development of multi-sector humanitarian projects, including WASH, Shelter, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA), and MEAL systems.
  • Monitoring project implementation to ensure quality, accountability, donor compliance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Supporting the Field Coordinator in external representation meetings with humanitarian partners, stakeholders, local authorities, and donors.
  • Coordinating emergency response activities and strengthening humanitarian interventions in conflict-affected communities.
  • Supporting Central Darfur office structuring, staff development, and operational systems strengthening.
  • Contributing to proposal writing, donor reports, technical documentation, and strategic planning exercises.
  • Ensuring effective collaboration with local NGOs, consortium partners, and humanitarian agencies.
  • Supporting access planning and risk management in challenging security environments.

Main operational duties include:

  • Supervising humanitarian field teams and ensuring project implementation aligns with organizational goals.
  • Managing emergency assistance activities related to safe water access, sanitation, hygiene promotion, shelter support, food assistance, agricultural recovery, and livelihood programs.
  • Conducting program monitoring, reporting, and evaluation for humanitarian projects.
  • Coordinating operational priorities during emergency situations and rainy-season access disruptions.
  • Facilitating training workshops and team capacity building for field staff.
  • Supporting donor compliance requirements under ECHO, SHF, BHA, CDCS, and consortium-funded programs.

Education and Qualification Requirements

Applicants should possess:
