Job Overview
The Sustainable Urban Planning Specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance to the Government of Sudan and local authorities to develop and implement sustainable urban planning policies and strategies. The Specialist will work closely with stakeholders to identify and address urban planning challenges and opportunities, and will provide technical support to develop and implement urban planning projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to the Government of Sudan and local authorities to develop and implement sustainable urban planning policies and strategies
- Conduct urban planning assessments and analyses to identify challenges and opportunities
- Develop and implement urban planning projects, including urban design and infrastructure development
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify and address urban planning challenges and opportunities
- Provide technical support to develop and implement urban planning projects
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Urban Planning or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in urban planning and development
- Excellent technical and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
