Job Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sustainable Agriculture Specialist to join our team in El Geneina, Sudan. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance to rural communities in the development of sustainable agriculture practices and improving food security.
The Sustainable Agriculture Specialist will work closely with local stakeholders, including farmers, extension agents, and government officials, to design and implement sustainable agriculture projects that promote climate-resilient agriculture, improve soil health, and enhance agricultural productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement sustainable agriculture projects that promote climate-resilient agriculture, improve soil health, and enhance agricultural productivity.
- Provide technical assistance to rural communities in the development of sustainable agriculture practices and improving food security.
- Work closely with local stakeholders, including farmers, extension agents, and government officials, to design and implement sustainable agriculture projects.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify best practices in sustainable agriculture and develop recommendations for project implementation.
- Develop and implement training programs for farmers, extension agents, and other stakeholders on sustainable agriculture practices.
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in sustainable agriculture, agricultural development, or related field.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful sustainable agriculture projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships with local stakeholders.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field.
Experience
5-7 years of experience in sustainable agriculture, agricultural development, or related field.
Salary
50,000 – 70,000 SSP per month.
