Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Senior Irrigation Engineer to lead the design and implementation of advanced water management systems. This role involves overseeing complex irrigation infrastructure projects that support smallholder farmers and large-scale agricultural enterprises. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing hydrological data, designing efficient drip and surface irrigation systems, and ensuring that all water usage aligns with environmental sustainability standards. This position is a cornerstone of our efforts to modernize agricultural practices in Sudan, providing essential technical leadership to field teams and local stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Design and supervise the construction of large-scale irrigation networks and water distribution systems.
- Conduct comprehensive hydrological assessments and soil moisture analysis to optimize water usage.

- Develop strategic water management plans to mitigate the effects of drought and seasonal variability.

Required Skills

Education
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering (Water Resources focus), or a closely related field. A PhD in Water Resource Management is highly preferred.
Experience
A minimum of seven years of professional experience in irrigation engineering or water resource management is required. Proven experience working in sub-Saharan Africa or similar semi-arid climates is a significant advantage. Experience in managing large-scale international development projects is essential.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 850,000 SSP to 1,200,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical expertise. This is a competitive package designed to attract top-tier talent to the sector.
