Job Overview
The Renewable Energy Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from feasibility studies and permitting to construction, commissioning, and handover. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of renewable energy projects, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and local regulations.
- Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans, and report progress to senior management.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, procurement specialists, contractors, and local consultants.
- Manage stakeholder engagement, securing permits, land use agreements, and community support.
- Oversee procurement of equipment and services, ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy standards and local content requirements.
- Monitor project performance metrics, implement corrective actions, and ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Prepare technical and financial reports for internal and external audiences, supporting decision‑making and funding processes.
Required Skills
- Strong project management expertise with proven ability to deliver complex renewable energy projects.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder and contractor management.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and data analysis tools.
- In‑depth knowledge of Sudanese energy regulations, permitting processes, and local market dynamics.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate cross‑functional teams in challenging environments.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a closely related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PE (Professional Engineer) are highly desirable.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five to seven years of experience managing renewable energy projects, preferably in solar, wind, or hybrid systems. Experience working in Sudan or similar emerging markets is a strong plus.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from SSP 250,000 to SSP 350,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be provided.
