Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for telecom network infrastructure.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and penetration testing on network components.
- Design and implement firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure VPN solutions.
- Monitor security events, respond to incidents, and perform root‑cause analysis.
- Collaborate with network engineers to integrate security controls into new deployments and upgrades.
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of security architectures, configurations, and incident reports.
- Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams on security best practices.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
Required Skills
- Deep knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF) and security technologies.
- Hands‑on experience with firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet), IDS/IPS, and SIEM platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation of security tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex security concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple security incidents simultaneously.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or CEH are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
