Job Overview
The Network Deployment Engineer will play a pivotal role in planning, designing, and implementing Huawei’s telecom solutions across Shendi and surrounding regions. This position involves close interaction with local partners, field teams, and project managers to ensure seamless rollout of network infrastructure, including base stations, fiber optic links, and backhaul systems. Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end network deployment projects, from site surveys and design validation to installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Collaborate with local operators and contractors to ensure compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
- Configure and optimize radio access network (RAN) equipment, including 4G LTE and 5G base stations, to achieve performance targets.
- Perform on‑site troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and corrective actions to minimize service disruptions.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, as‑built documentation, and handover packages for client acceptance.
- Support capacity planning and network expansion strategies by providing technical recommendations based on field data.
- Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and mentor junior engineers to build local expertise.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Huawei network equipment (e.g., eNodeB, gNodeB, O&M tools).
- Strong understanding of RF planning, microwave backhaul, and fiber optic technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Ability to travel frequently to remote sites across Shendi and neighboring governorates.
- Familiarity with local regulatory requirements and safety standards.
Education
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Advanced certifications such as Huawei Certified Network Professional (HCNP) or equivalent are highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset during the selection process.
Experience
A minimum of three to five years of hands‑on experience in telecom network deployment, preferably with exposure to 4G/5G technologies, is required. Candidates who have previously worked on large‑scale infrastructure projects in Africa or emerging markets will have a competitive edge.
Salary
