Job Overview

The Automotive Production Planner will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of vehicle assembly planning, ensuring that production schedules align with demand forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and continuously update detailed production schedules for vehicle assembly lines.
• Collaborate with demand planning, procurement, and logistics to ensure material availability aligns with production targets.
• Monitor real‑time production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to meet delivery commitments.
• Analyze capacity constraints and recommend adjustments to workforce, equipment, or shift patterns.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and data visualization.
• Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Management, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates with additional certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or supply chain management will be given preference.

Experience

Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in production planning or scheduling within an automotive or high‑volume manufacturing environment. Prior exposure to Toyota Production System (TPS) or similar lean manufacturing frameworks is highly desirable.

Salary
