Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly disciplined and detail-oriented Industrial Safety Inspector to join our manufacturing facility in Wad Medani. This critical role is essential to our mission of maintaining a zero-harm workplace. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting rigorous inspections, auditing manufacturing processes, and ensuring that all operations comply with both local Sudanese regulations and international safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify potential hazards in the manufacturing and packaging areas.
- Audit machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintenance schedules.
- Investigate all near-miss incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Lead safety training sessions for factory floor staff and contractors.
- Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across all production zones.
- Collaborate with the production team to integrate safety measures into new manufacturing workflows.
- Prepare detailed weekly safety compliance reports for the Plant Manager.
Required Skills
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 45001 and local occupational health and safety laws.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex safety data and incident reports.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both floor workers and senior management.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
- Ability to conduct technical audits of heavy industrial machinery.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is mandatory. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are highly preferred and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial safety inspection, preferably within a large-scale manufacturing or FMCG environment. Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and managing safety audits is essential.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 850,000 SSP to 1,200,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s experience and technical qualifications. This is a competitive package designed to attract the best talent in the region.
