Job Overview
The Port Operations Manager will oversee all operational activities at Maersk’s terminal in Port Sudan, ensuring seamless cargo handling, vessel turnaround, and compliance with international maritime regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily terminal operations, including loading, unloading, and storage of containers.
- Coordinate vessel schedules, berth assignments, and pilotage services to optimize turnaround times.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Manage a team of supervisors, stevedores, and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement operational KPIs, monitoring performance against targets.
- Collaborate with customs authorities and port officials to streamline clearance processes.
- Oversee maintenance of equipment and infrastructure, coordinating with the technical department for repairs and upgrades.
- Prepare operational reports and present insights to senior management.
- Drive cost‑reduction initiatives while maintaining service quality.
- Support the implementation of digital tools such as terminal operating systems and real‑time tracking platforms.

Education

Salary
