Job Overview

The Regulatory Compliance Analyst will play a pivotal role in monitoring, interpreting and implementing regulatory requirements that affect the bank’s operations in Sudan. This position involves close collaboration with the legal, risk, audit and business units to ensure that all activities comply with local and international regulations, including anti‑money laundering (AML), counter‑terrorist financing (CTF), sanctions, and consumer protection laws. The analyst will also support the development of compliance policies, conduct risk assessments, and provide guidance to business lines on regulatory matters. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze regulatory changes in Sudanese banking law, Central Bank directives, and international standards.
  • Conduct periodic compliance risk assessments and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
  • Develop, update and disseminate compliance policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Provide advisory support to business units on regulatory interpretation and implementation.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely remediation of findings.
  • Maintain AML/CTF monitoring systems, review alerts and file suspicious activity reports (SARs) as required.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to manage regulatory inquiries and investigations.
  • Prepare regulatory filings and ensure accurate submission within stipulated deadlines.
  • Deliver compliance training sessions and awareness programs for staff.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance activities and evidence of controls.

Required Skills

Education

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline. Professional certifications such as Certified Anti‑Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or equivalent are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.

Experience

A minimum of three to five years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, or a related function within the banking or financial services sector is required. Prior exposure to Sudanese regulatory frameworks, Central Bank of Sudan guidelines, and international compliance standards will be advantageous.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 180,000 to SSP 250,000 per month, commensurate with experience, qualifications and performance. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, pension contributions and other employee benefits.
