Job Overview

The Waste Management Specialist will play a critical role in the implementation of the AfDB’s environmental management projects in Sudan. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement waste management systems for urban and rural areas in Sudan
  • Conduct waste assessments to identify areas of high waste generation and develop strategies to reduce waste
  • Develop and implement recycling programs to promote sustainable waste management practices
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities, to promote waste management best practices
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of waste management programs and make recommendations for improvement
