Job Overview
The Waste Management Specialist will play a critical role in the implementation of the AfDB’s environmental management projects in Sudan. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement waste management systems for urban and rural areas in Sudan
- Conduct waste assessments to identify areas of high waste generation and develop strategies to reduce waste
- Develop and implement recycling programs to promote sustainable waste management practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities, to promote waste management best practices
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of waste management programs and make recommendations for improvement
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Waste Management, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in waste management or a related field
