Job Overview

Skanska Sudan seeks a Green Building Certification Specialist to evaluate, design, and implement sustainable construction projects in alignment with international green building frameworks. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting energy-efficient solutions in Sudan’s growing urban landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of construction projects for compliance with green building certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM).
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate sustainable materials and energy-saving technologies.
• Prepare certification documentation and liaise with regulatory bodies for approvals.
• Monitor project sustainability metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct training sessions on green building practices for project teams.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in green building certification standards and software tools (e.g., EnergyPlus, Revit).
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating energy efficiency and environmental impact.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Knowledge of Sudanese construction regulations and climate-specific sustainability challenges.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Environmental Engineering, or Sustainable Design.
• Preferred: LEED AP or similar certification.

Experience

Salary

500,000 – 700,000 Sudanese Pounds (SSP) annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
