Job Overview

This role focuses on designing and implementing urban resilience strategies to mitigate climate risks in rapidly growing Sudanese cities. The specialist will collaborate with local governments, NGOs, and communities to integrate climate adaptation into urban planning frameworks. The position is ideal for professionals passionate about sustainable development and climate action in emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop climate risk assessments and adaptation plans for urban infrastructure in Shendi.
  • Design sustainable drainage systems and heat mitigation strategies for urban areas.
  • li>Conduct stakeholder workshops to promote community engagement in climate resilience initiatives.

  • Collaborate with municipal authorities to update zoning regulations for flood and drought resilience.

Salary

500,000 – 800,000 Sudanese Pounds (SSP) per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
