Job Overview

The Policy Analyst will support the Policy & Research Department in designing, analyzing, and evaluating policies that advance Sudan’s sustainable development agenda. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive policy analysis on energy, climate, and socio‑economic issues affecting Sudan.
• Develop evidence‑based policy briefs, reports, and presentations for senior management and government stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design pilot projects and evaluate their outcomes.
• Monitor and assess the impact of existing policies, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
• Engage with local NGOs, community leaders, and private sector partners to gather qualitative data and ensure inclusive policy formulation.
• Prepare data visualizations and dashboards that communicate complex findings in an accessible manner.
• Support the preparation of funding proposals and grant applications for international donors.
• Stay updated on global best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes relevant to Sudan’s development landscape.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in statistical software (e.g., STATA, R, or Python).

Education
