We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Urban Planner to join our team in Kosti, Sudan. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing urban planning policies and programs that promote sustainable development, reduce poverty, and improve the quality of life for all citizens.
Job Overview
The Sustainable Urban Planner will be responsible for:
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Urban Planning or a related field, with at least 5-7 years of experience in urban planning and development. They will have a strong understanding of urban planning principles, policies, and practices, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.
The Sustainable Urban Planner will work closely with our team of experts to develop and implement urban planning policies and programs that promote sustainable development, reduce poverty, and improve the quality of life for all citizens.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement urban planning policies and programs that promote sustainable development, reduce poverty, and improve the quality of life for all citizens.
- Conduct research and analysis on urban planning issues and trends, and provide recommendations to the team and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies, civil society organizations, and the private sector to promote collaboration and coordination on urban planning initiatives.
- Provide technical assistance and support to local governments and communities to develop and implement urban planning policies and programs.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of urban planning policies and programs, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Urban Planning or a related field.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in urban planning and development.
- Strong understanding of urban planning principles, policies, and practices.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Urban Planning or a related field from a recognized university.
Experience
The successful candidate will have at least 5-7 years of experience in urban planning and development, with a strong understanding of urban planning principles, policies, and practices.
Salary
The salary for this position is 100,000 – 150,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
