Job Overview

The Freight Forwarding Coordinator will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end shipment processes, ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods for DHL’s diverse client base in Sudan and beyond. This role involves coordinating with airlines, customs authorities, trucking partners, and internal teams to optimize routing, documentation, and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify all export and import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
• Coordinate with airlines, trucking companies, and local agents to schedule pickups, deliveries, and trans‑shipment activities.
• Monitor shipment status using DHL’s tracking systems, providing real‑time updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Resolve freight discrepancies, delays, or damages by liaising with carriers, customs officials, and customers.
• Ensure compliance with Sudanese customs regulations, international trade laws, and DHL’s internal policies.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and performance metrics in the DHL IT platform.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to develop tailored logistics solutions that meet client requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, presenting recommendations to management.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding procedures and customs regulations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.

Education
