Job Overview

The Agricultural Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for optimizing end‑to‑end supply chain processes for grain and oilseed products, ensuring efficient movement from farm to market. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze historical and real‑time data to forecast demand for key agricultural commodities across the southern Darfur region.
  • Develop and maintain inventory models that balance storage capacity with market demand, reducing spoilage and excess stock.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to design cost‑effective transportation routes and schedules.
  • Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery timelines.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance dashboards for senior management, highlighting key metrics such as fill rate, lead time, and cost per ton.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities using Lean and Six Sigma principles, and lead implementation projects.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data sets into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of agricultural commodity markets, especially cereals and oilseeds.
  • Familiarity with supply chain software such as SAP SCM or Oracle Logistics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with additional certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or a master’s degree will be given preference.

Experience
