Job Overview

The Agricultural Supply Chain Manager will lead end‑to‑end supply chain operations for Cargill’s agricultural products in the South Darfur region. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the movement of commodities, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies that optimize sourcing, transportation, storage, and distribution of agricultural commodities.
• Coordinate with local farmers, cooperatives, and suppliers to secure high‑quality raw materials while fostering long‑term relationships.
• Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and manage replenishment plans to minimize stockouts and excess.
• Oversee logistics partners, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and sustainability standards.
• Analyze supply chain performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with finance to manage budgets, cost controls, and profitability analyses.

Required Skills

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is required. Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of eight years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least three years in a leadership role within the agricultural sector. Experience working in emerging markets, particularly in Sudan or neighboring countries, is preferred. Demonstrated success in managing complex logistics networks and driving cost‑saving initiatives is essential.

Salary
