Job Overview
The Agricultural Supply Chain Manager will lead end‑to‑end supply chain operations for Cargill’s agricultural products in the South Darfur region. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the movement of commodities, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with quality standards. The manager will work closely with procurement, logistics, quality assurance, and sales teams to align supply chain strategies with business objectives, driving performance improvements and supporting Cargill’s commitment to sustainable agriculture.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that optimize sourcing, transportation, storage, and distribution of agricultural commodities.
- Coordinate with local farmers, cooperatives, and suppliers to secure high‑quality raw materials while fostering long‑term relationships.
- Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and manage replenishment plans to minimize stockouts and excess.
- Oversee logistics partners, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and sustainability standards.
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with finance to manage budgets, cost controls, and profitability analyses.
- Prepare regular reports for senior leadership, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure alignment with Cargill’s global sustainability goals, including carbon footprint reduction and responsible sourcing.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle SCM).
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep understanding of agricultural commodity markets in Sudan and the broader Horn of Africa.
- Leadership experience with the ability to motivate cross‑functional teams.
- Effective communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for reporting.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of eight years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least three years in a leadership role within the agricultural sector. Experience working in emerging markets, particularly in Sudan or neighboring countries, is preferred. Demonstrated success in managing complex logistics networks and driving cost‑saving initiatives is essential.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 150,000 to SSP 250,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary, performance‑based bonuses and incentives are offered to reward exceptional contributions to supply chain efficiency and sustainability.
