H1: Area Security Officer Job at ACTED Sudan

Key Responsibilities

The Area Security Officer will play a key role in maintaining operational safety and supporting humanitarian missions across Sudan.

1. Context Analysis & Risk Assessment

  • Conduct ongoing security risk assessments and contextual analysis.
  • Monitor conflict dynamics, political developments, and security threats.
  • Assess operational risks affecting humanitarian interventions.
  • Provide recommendations to improve field safety and operational continuity.

2. Security Assessments & Operational Support

  • Conduct security audits and field assessments to ensure compliance with ACTED security procedures.
  • Support emergency preparedness and contingency planning.
  • Ensure field teams follow security protocols and incident reporting procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining humanitarian access while minimizing operational risks.

Salary & Benefits

ACTED offers an attractive international benefits package, including:

  • Monthly Salary: Between €2,000 – €2,200 (before tax) depending on education and security conditions.
  • Monthly Living Allowance: USD $300
  • Accommodation & Meals: Provided at ACTED guesthouse.

  • Flight Tickets: Covered every six months.
  • Visa Fees: Fully covered.
  • Luggage Support: Up to 100kg transportation allowance depending on contract duration.

    • Flight reimbursement up to $500
    • Additional allowance of $200
  • Annual Leave: 25–43 days per year
