Job Overview

The Credit Risk Analyst will join the Risk Management department in Omdurman, supporting the bank’s credit portfolio across retail, SME and corporate segments. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive credit assessments for loan applications, including financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling and sector‑specific risk evaluation.
  • Prepare detailed credit risk reports and present findings to senior credit officers and the Credit Committee.
  • Monitor existing loan portfolios, identify early warning signs of credit deterioration and recommend mitigation actions.
  • Develop and maintain credit scoring models that align with Islamic banking guidelines.
  • Collaborate with relationship managers to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with internal credit policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and support internal audit activities related to credit risk.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with proficiency in Excel, VBA and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, or Python).
  • In‑depth knowledge of credit risk principles, financial statement analysis and Islamic finance regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Education
