Job Overview
This role is critical to ensuring PepsiCo Sudan maintains compliance with national and international food safety regulations. The Food Safety Compliance Officer will oversee all aspects of food safety protocols, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions to maintain the company’s reputation for quality and safety. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Sudan’s growing food manufacturing sector while working with a global brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits of production facilities to ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Monitor and document food safety practices across the supply chain, including raw material sourcing and finished product testing.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for non-compliance issues.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure adherence to PepsiCo’s food safety policies.
- Provide training to staff on food safety best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in food safety compliance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Sudanese and international food safety regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to conduct audits and interpret technical data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for training and collaboration.
- Proficiency in using food safety management software (e.g., SAP, Track-Wise).
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Public Health, Environmental Health, or a related discipline. A Master’s Degree or certification in Food Safety (CFSP) is a plus.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years in food safety compliance, preferably within large-scale manufacturing operations. Experience in the beverage or snack manufacturing sector is highly advantageous.
Salary
150,000 – 200,000 Sudanese Pounds (SSP) per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
