Job Overview

The Pharmaceutical Production Manager will lead the end‑to‑end manufacturing process of high‑quality medicines at Pfizer’s Al Qadarif facility. Reporting to the Plant Director, you will be responsible for ensuring production targets are met, maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Quality Assurance, Engineering, Supply Chain and Regulatory Affairs to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and enhance product safety. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule and oversee daily production activities to meet volume and quality targets.
  • Ensure strict adherence to GMP, SOPs and local regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary production team, promoting safety and performance.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance to resolve deviations and conduct root‑cause analyses.
  • Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods, optimizing stock levels.
  • Prepare production reports, KPIs and performance dashboards for senior management.
  • Drive continuous training programs to enhance staff competencies.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and GMP standards.
  • Proven leadership and people‑management abilities.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Proficiency in manufacturing execution systems (MES) and ERP platforms.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Six Sigma Green Belt are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of five to seven years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical production, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in a multinational environment and familiarity with Sudanese regulatory frameworks will be viewed favorably.

Salary

The successful applicant will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from SSP 150,000 to SSP 250,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be offered.
