Job Overview

The Process Optimization Engineer will work directly with production teams to analyze, design, and implement process improvements that increase productivity, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with international standards. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
- Design and implement process optimization strategies using lean manufacturing principles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and automation systems
- Monitor production metrics and prepare performance reports for senior management
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental regulations
- Conduct training sessions for production staff on optimized workflows and best practices
Required Skills
- Proven experience in process engineering or industrial optimization
- Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Fluency in English and Arabic
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. Advanced degrees (Master’s) in relevant fields are a plus.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in manufacturing process optimization, preferably in the chemical or petrochemical industry. Experience in Sudan or the broader East African region is advantageous.
Salary
150,000 – 200,000 Sudanese Pounds (SSP) annually, depending on experience and performance.
