Job Overview

The Program Analyst will support the Rural Development Program in Al Daein, focusing on designing, monitoring, and evaluating interventions that enhance agricultural productivity, improve market access, and strengthen local governance. Working under the Program Manager, the analyst will coordinate with field teams, government officials, and development partners to ensure project milestones are met and outcomes are measurable. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of work plans, budgets, and logical frameworks for rural development initiatives.
• Collect, analyze, and validate quantitative and qualitative data from field surveys, stakeholder interviews, and secondary sources.
• Prepare progress reports, performance dashboards, and impact assessments for internal and external audiences.
• Coordinate with local government units, NGOs, and private sector partners to ensure alignment with national development strategies.
• Support procurement processes, including drafting terms of reference and evaluating vendor proposals.
• Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and community meetings to disseminate project findings and best practices.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing by drafting policy briefs, case studies, and success stories for publication.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Stata, SPSS) and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multicultural environments.
• Project management experience, including monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
• Knowledge of Sudan’s rural economies, agricultural value chains, and development policies.
• Effective stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.

Education

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Development Studies, Agriculture, Public Policy, or a related discipline is required. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, M&E) are considered an asset.

Experience

Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of professional experience in development projects, preferably within the agricultural or rural development sector. Experience working in Sudan or similar contexts is highly valued.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from 150,000 to 250,000 Sudanese Pounds (SSP) per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional allowances may be provided based on field assignments.
