Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead Nestlé Sudan’s quality assurance program, ensuring that all food products manufactured at the Marsa facility comply with national and international food safety regulations, Nestlé’s internal standards, and customer expectations. This role is pivotal in safeguarding product integrity, enhancing consumer trust, and supporting the company’s reputation as a leader in the food processing sector. The manager will collaborate closely with production, research & development, supply chain, and regulatory affairs teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk management. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems (QMS) aligned with ISO 22000, HACCP, and local Sudanese food safety regulations.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are identified, tracked, and closed effectively.
  • Monitor critical control points (CCPs) across production lines, conducting regular inspections and sampling to verify compliance.
  • Collaborate with R&D to evaluate new product formulations for safety, stability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide training and mentorship to quality assurance staff and cross‑functional teams on best practices, GMP, and hygiene standards.
  • Analyze quality data, generate reports, and present findings to senior management to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage supplier qualification and audit processes to ensure raw material quality meets Nestlé standards.
  • Respond promptly to consumer complaints, conduct root‑cause investigations, and implement preventive measures.

Required Skills

  • In‑depth knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, ISO 22000, and Sudanese regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or HACCP Practitioner are highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in quality assurance within a food manufacturing environment, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 120,000 to 180,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with performance‑based bonuses.
