Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the entire quality management system for our manufacturing facilities in Port Sudan. This position is responsible for ensuring that every product leaving our facility meets both international PepsiCo standards and local Sudanese regulatory requirements. You will lead a team of specialists to monitor production processes, conduct rigorous testing, and implement corrective actions when deviations occur. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Quality Assurance protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead and mentor a team of quality control technicians and laboratory analysts.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO 22000 and HACCP standards.
  • Manage the laboratory testing schedule for raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain department to evaluate vendor quality and material specifications.
  • Investigate consumer complaints and implement robust root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Oversee the calibration and maintenance of all laboratory and production testing equipment.
  • Prepare detailed quality performance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.

Required Skills

  • Expert knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) and HACCP principles.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities in a manufacturing setting.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex microbiological and chemical data.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and quality management software.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to zero-defect manufacturing.

Education

Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline. A Master’s degree or professional certification in Quality Management (such as Six Sigma or ASQ) is highly preferred and will be considered an advantage during the selection process for this Employment in Sudan.

Experience

A minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in quality assurance within the food or beverage manufacturing industry is required. At least 4 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity is essential.
