Job Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Renewable Energy Policy Analyst to join our team in El Geneina, Sudan. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance to the Government of Sudan on renewable energy policy and planning, as well as supporting the development of a national renewable energy strategy.

The Renewable Energy Policy Analyst will work closely with the Ministry of Energy and Mining, as well as with other stakeholders in the renewable energy sector. The position will be based in El Geneina, Sudan, and will require frequent travel to other parts of the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to the Government of Sudan on renewable energy policy and planning
  • Support the development of a national renewable energy strategy
  • Work closely with the Ministry of Energy and Mining, as well as with other stakeholders in the renewable energy sector
  • Conduct research and analysis on renewable energy policy and planning issues
  • Develop and implement training programs for government officials and other stakeholders on renewable energy policy and planning

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Energy Policy, or related field
  • At least 8 years of experience in renewable energy policy and planning
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Education

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Energy Policy, or a related field. A Ph.D. in a related field would be an asset.

Experience

The successful candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in renewable energy policy and planning. Experience working in a developing country would be an asset.

Salary

The salary for this position will be SSP 50,000 – 70,000 per month, depending on experience.
