Job Overview
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is hiring an experienced and highly motivated Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Senior Coordinator to strengthen humanitarian programming and emergency response operations across Sudan.
Reporting directly to the Programs Director (PD) and technically supported by the Regional Measurement Advisor, the MEAL Senior Coordinator will lead the strategic direction, implementation, and strengthening of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning, and data management systems across IRC Sudan operations.
This position plays a critical leadership role in ensuring high-quality programming, data-driven decision-making, accountability to affected populations, and evidence-based humanitarian interventions aligned with IRC Strategy 100, emergency response plans, and country strategic priorities.

About IRC Sudan

The MEAL Senior Coordinator will:
- Lead the country-wide Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) strategy.

Educational Requirements
Applicants must possess:
Required Qualification:
- A University Degree in one of the following fields:

Equivalent technical qualifications with extensive relevant work experience may also be considered.
Experience Requirements
Candidates should have:
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in:
- Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
- MEAL Systems
- Accountability & Learning
- Humanitarian Programming
- Strong experience designing and managing multi-sector, multi-donor funded MEAL systems.
- Proven leadership experience in humanitarian or emergency response settings.
- Experience in:
- Research and survey methodologies
- Statistical analysis
- Sampling methodologies
- Data visualization and reporting
- Capacity building and training
- Experience working in conflict-affected and fragile environments is highly preferred.
Technical Skills Required
