Job Overview
The Senior SRH Manager serves as the focal point for all Sexual and Reproductive Health services and interventions implemented by IRC in Darfur. The role ensures emergency SRH programs are delivered according to the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) and international humanitarian standards.
The successful candidate will oversee reproductive health operations, healthcare staff training, monitoring systems, stakeholder coordination, stock management, grant implementation, and technical supervision of SRH programming in humanitarian settings.
This position requires strong experience in maternal health, emergency obstetric care, family planning, gender-based violence integration, and reproductive healthcare systems strengthening.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Program Management & Technical Leadership
- Lead and supervise implementation of quality sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services across supported health facilities.
- Ensure compliance with global standards for:
- Antenatal and postnatal care
- Emergency obstetric and neonatal care (BEmONC)
- Family planning and contraceptive counselling
- Clinical Management of Rape (CMR)
- Menstrual hygiene management (MHM)
- STI prevention and syndromic treatment
- Strengthen maternal and newborn healthcare systems in emergency settings.
- Conduct field visits to monitor implementation quality and improve service delivery.
- Support mobile emergency health interventions where required.
Staff Supervision & Capacity Building
- Directly supervise SRH officers and healthcare personnel.
- Organize training programs, coaching sessions, and mentorship for health staff.
- Build staff capacity in maternal healthcare, reproductive rights, emergency medical care, and GBV response integration.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews of health program staff.

Education Requirements

Work Experience
To qualify, candidates should have:
- Minimum 3+ years of humanitarian project management experience
- Strong technical experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) in emergency settings
- Demonstrated expertise implementing MISP programs
- Experience in maternal and child health, reproductive healthcare, emergency response, or NGO healthcare programming
- Previous humanitarian field experience in conflict or fragile settings is highly desirable.
