Job Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sustainable Agriculture Specialist to join our team in El Obeid, Sudan. The successful candidate will work closely with our project team to design and implement sustainable agriculture interventions that improve the livelihoods of rural communities.

The Sustainable Agriculture Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable agriculture projects that promote climate-resilient agriculture, improve agricultural productivity, and enhance the livelihoods of rural communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement sustainable agriculture projects that promote climate-resilient agriculture, improve agricultural productivity, and enhance the livelihoods of rural communities.
  • Work closely with our project team to develop and implement sustainable agriculture interventions that improve the livelihoods of rural communities.
  • Conduct field assessments and surveys to identify areas for sustainable agriculture interventions.
  • Develop and implement training programs for farmers and rural communities on sustainable agriculture practices.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners to promote sustainable agriculture practices.

    • Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Agriculture or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sustainable agriculture, rural development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and build partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners.

    • Education

    The successful candidate must have a Master’s degree in Agriculture or a related field from a recognized university.

    Experience

    The successful candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in sustainable agriculture, rural development, or a related field.

    Salary

    The successful candidate will be offered a salary of 50,000 – 70,000 SSP per month.
