Job Overview
Join our Kusti research team to develop cutting-edge sustainable construction materials. This role combines technical expertise with creative problem-solving to create building solutions that minimize carbon footprints while maintaining structural integrity. The position reports directly to the Regional Innovation Director and collaborates with international R&D teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop eco-friendly construction materials using local Sudanese resources
- Conduct material performance testing under Sudan’s extreme climate conditions
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to implement sustainable design solutions
- Document and publish findings in industry journals and conferences
- Ensure all materials meet international sustainability certification standards
Required Skills
- Expertise in sustainable material science and life-cycle analysis
- Proficiency in material testing software (ASTM, ISO standards)
- Strong project management capabilities
- Fluency in Arabic and English
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Science. Advanced degree (Master’s/PhD) preferred but not required.
Experience
3-5 years in sustainable construction materials research, with proven experience in material innovation projects.
Salary
Competitive salary range of 12,000 – 18,000 Sudanese Pounds, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
