Job Overview
This role focuses on developing innovative textile designs that align with global sustainability standards while preserving traditional Sudanese weaving techniques. The position requires collaboration with local artisans, material scientists, and international fashion designers to create market-ready products. The role is ideal for candidates passionate about merging cultural heritage with modern textile technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and prototype sustainable textile patterns using traditional Sudanese weaving methods
- Conduct material research on organic cotton, natural dyes, and recycled fibers
- Collaborate with local artisans to document and preserve traditional textile techniques
- Develop product specifications for ethical fashion collections
- Monitor production quality and sustainability compliance
