Job Overview

The Wind Farm Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day management of Siemens Gamesa’s wind farm assets in the Kosti region. Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise all operational activities of the wind farm, ensuring maximum energy production and availability.
  • Develop and enforce preventive and corrective maintenance programs in line with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Monitor turbine performance metrics, analyze data trends, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and contractors, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, grid operators, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present operational reports, KPI dashboards, and financial performance summaries to senior management.
  • Manage budgets, procurement of spare parts, and logistics for maintenance activities.
  • Drive initiatives for operational excellence, including lean processes and digital asset management tools.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of wind turbine technology, SCADA systems, and asset management software.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities in a technical environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex performance data.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management, both in English and Arabic.
  • Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the energy sector.
  • Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is an advantage.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a closely related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or specialized certifications in wind energy technology will be considered a strong asset.

Experience

Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in wind farm operations, maintenance management, or related fields, with at least three years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Experience working in emerging markets or African regions is highly desirable.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 250,000 to 350,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be provided.
