Job Overview:As an Environmental Conservation Specialist with the UNDP in Sudan, you will play a key role in supporting the government’s efforts to protect and conserve the country’s natural resources. You will work closely with government agencies, civil society organizations, and local communities to develop and implement conservation projects that promote sustainable development and reduce poverty. You will also provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to government agencies and local communities to help them develop and implement effective conservation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement conservation projects that promote sustainable development and reduce poverty
- Provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to government agencies and local communities
- Work closely with government agencies, civil society organizations, and local communities to develop and implement conservation projects
- Conduct field assessments and monitoring to evaluate the effectiveness of conservation projects
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce the impact of human activities on the environment
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in environmental conservation or a related field
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective conservation projects
- Strong technical skills in conservation biology, ecology, and environmental management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
