Job Overview:As an Environmental Conservation Specialist with The Nature Conservancy, you will play a key role in developing and implementing conservation projects that protect and restore natural habitats in Sudan. You will work closely with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to identify conservation priorities and develop effective strategies for protecting and restoring natural habitats. You will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the impact of conservation projects and making recommendations for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement conservation projects that protect and restore natural habitats in Sudan
- Work with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to identify conservation priorities and develop effective strategies for protecting and restoring natural habitats
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of conservation projects and make recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with other conservation organizations and stakeholders to share knowledge and best practices
- Develop and manage budgets and project plans to ensure effective use of resources
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in conservation or a related field
- Strong understanding of conservation principles and practices
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders
Education:The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in a related field is an asset.
Experience:The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in conservation or a related field. Experience working with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders is an asset.
Salary:The salary for this position is SSP 50,000 – 70,000 per month.
