Job Overview:ERM is seeking an experienced Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist to join our team in Mawro, Sudan. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments, developing environmental management plans, and providing technical support to clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading environmental consulting firm and contribute to the development of sustainable projects in Sudan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental impact assessments for various projects, including infrastructure development, mining, and energy projects
  • Develop environmental management plans and mitigation measures to minimize the environmental impacts of projects
  • Provide technical support to clients, including data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into project planning and decision-making
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant environmental regulations and policies in Sudan and internationally

Required Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • 8-12 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and management
  • Strong technical skills in environmental assessment and management, including data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with clients and project teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
