Job Overview
This role focuses on designing and implementing sustainable urban mobility strategies in El Fasher, Sudan. The specialist will lead initiatives to improve public transportation systems, pedestrian infrastructure, and non-motorized transport networks, ensuring alignment with global sustainability standards and local community needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute urban mobility plans that integrate public transit, cycling, and walking infrastructure.
- Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments for proposed mobility projects.
- Collaborate with municipal authorities, NGOs, and community stakeholders to prioritize mobility improvements.
- Design low-carbon transportation solutions, including electric vehicle charging networks and green corridors.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of mobility projects using data-driven metrics.
Required Skills
- Expertise in urban planning, transportation engineering, or sustainable development.
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and transportation modeling software.
